This year we made 2010 Calendars as a gift for our parents. Our handprints are on each page of the calendar. We loved making them. We hope you loved them too! A lot of love went into the making of them.

Our Christmas Celebration
We decided to do things a little different during our Christmas party. First off we had a morning breakfast party. Mrs. Jones made us pancakes. We also had YUMMY cinnamon rolls & the best part we played board games. We brought our favorites from home & played our classroom favorites too! It was fun hanging out with our friends!
Guest Reader
Marvelous Maggie's mom stopped by to read, Snowmen At Christmas. It was SO funny!!! She also brought along some yummy pretzel snowmen for us to munch on! We enjoyed the story and getting to learn mom about her.

Edible Snowman Art
Each month we have Cooking In The Classroom. This month I decided to present plain cupcakes, marshmallows, m&m's, mini chocolate chips, pretzels, icing, & frosting to the students & ask them to "create their own snowman." They were very creative in their art. I don't know what the liked better, creating or eating the final product!

Verbs..."It's what you do!"
This week we began our focus on VERBS. We played Verb-O (verb bingo), acted out verbs, & made a gingerbread girl. We read several versions of the book, The Gingerbread Man. The students noticed a pattern...he ran, jumped, skipped, slid, hopped, laughed, and much more. The books were full of verbs! We decided to make a Gingerbread Girl & come up with all the things she could do...dance, run, twirl, sing, slide, etc. It was a neat focus, not to mention yummy one too!

Seeing The World Through Buddy Bear's Eyes
Buddy is our classroom bear. He was given to Mrs. J as a Valentine present in 1993 by a very special student Ryan Humphrey. He started going home on weekends with her student's & began traveling the world. He has been to many exciting homes & places. He has met every child that Mrs. Jones has ever taught. He has been to birthday parties, class trips, trips to different states & countries, sat on the Great Wall of China, & met Micky Mouse! He is currently 15 years old. We will be documenting his trips below.
