Shadows & Groundhog Day!
Today we researched Groundhog Day. We watched "streaming video" of Punxsutawney Phil in Gobbler's Knob. Phil saw his shadow today! SIX more weeks of winter! After reading a book about shadows, we decided to test our own theory about shadows. We made our own "Mini Me's." Our Mini Me's looked just like us! We took them outside and stuck them into the ground. We checked to see if our mini me's had shadows, no shadows. We checked them several times during different times of the day...no shadows. Our mini me's think spring might be around the corner. :)

Seeing The World Through Buddy Bear's Eyes
Buddy is our classroom bear. He was given to Mrs. J as a Valentine present in 1993 by a very special student Ryan Humphrey. He started going home on weekends with her student's & began traveling the world. He has been to many exciting homes & places. He has met every child that Mrs. Jones has ever taught. He has been to birthday parties, class trips, trips to different states & countries, sat on the Great Wall of China, & met Micky Mouse! He is currently 15 years old. We will be documenting his trips below.
